The first books of Brandon Sanderson's that I read were his Mistborn books. Predictability, nothing is worse than predictability when you're reading a series of books. Back to top I really liked the cover art for Elantris, but the cover of Well of Ascension really blows it out of the water. The Well of Ascension is the second book in the Mistborn trilogy, and had quite big shoes to fill as the sophomore offering following one of the best opening fantasy novels in a trilogy I've ever read. After finishing the first volume, I immediately bought the second, Mistborn: The Well of Ascension, and started on it; and, hungrily I moved on to the concluding work, Mistborn: The Hero of Ages, after finishing book two. Terrific art and terrific design really make it a The Mistborn books are two of my favorite reads this year. Mistborn is probably one of my favorite fantasy books, ever. I've read some other reviews of The Well of Ascension which generally state that its a good While this is going on, the city is threatened by not one, not two, but three separate external threats. Because, while I enjoyed the first book in Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy (The Final Empire - see my review here), I loved the second, The Well of Ascension. Kelsier died as part of the plan.
